Ultra Soccer League (USL) was founded in 2002 by Mr. Albert Manson who was the president of Vancouver Chinese Soccer Association from 1974 to 2001. In 2002, Mr. Manson started a new international soccer league to bring talented players from Vancouver's different cultures together.
Mr. Manson has had a long term relationship with B.C. Soccer association (BCSA), and hence USL is recognized by BCSA.
